The coastal front of Piraeus is one of the most interesting coastal cityscapes of Greece.
From the area of the School of Naval Cadets to Marina Zeas stretches the famous Piraiki and includes the area of Freattyda, the ancient coast. A wonderful route known for its excellent restaurants and fish taverns, overlooking the Saronic Sea, but also for the remains of the ancient walls and small beaches.
The heart of Piraeus is the port of Zeas. The lively center of the city, with numerous cafes-bars and restaurants. Visitor can visit the Maritime Museum, see the remains of the ancient neo-residents and enjoy a walk in the impressive marina.
The most famous point of Piraeus is the picturesque Microlimano, where excellent fish taverns, restaurants, cafes and bars will satisfy even the most demanding visitor.
The historical hill of Kastella (the ancient citadel of Piraeus, Munich) is probably the most beautiful district of Piraeus. A relatively steep hill, with narrow alleys, crowned at its top by a beautiful grove and the Veakeio open-air theater and from where you can admire the best panoramic view of all of Piraeus.
